Job DetailsWe're hiring a high-impact Backend Engineer to help scale a fast-growing platform in NYC. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in distributed systems, cares about clean architecture, and wants real ownership from day one.

Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and scale high-performance backend systems
- Drive design reviews and influence technical direction
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across distributed environments
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, CS, and Ops to ship high-impact features
- Introduce modern tools, frameworks, and best practices
Qualifications:
- 5+ years building distributed, production-scale systems
- Deep CS fundamentals and strong system design instincts
- Expert-level Python
- Strong AWS experience
- Solid experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Java experience is a plus
