Responsibilities:


  • Perform hand soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to IPC-A-610 standards

  • Assemble electronic components including resistors, capacitors, connectors, and wires

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions

  • Use microscopes, magnification tools, and soldering equipment to complete detailed assemblies

  • Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Rework or repair assemblies when needed

  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation

  • Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly issues


Requirements:


  • IPC-A-610 certification required (current or recently expired preferred)

  • 1-3 years of electronics assembly or soldering experience

  • Experience with through-hole and surface mount soldering

  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, or schematics

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with very small components

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking


Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with microscope soldering or microelectronics assembly

  • IPC-J-STD-001 cert

  • Experience with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters

  • Previous work in electronics manufacturing or medical device environments
