Location: West Lake, TXHybrid - 4 days onsite, 1 RemoteAbout the RoleThe Business / Systems Analyst II plays a critical role in supporting platform enhancements, system development, and business process optimization. This position partners closely with business users, developers, and project teams to define requirements, test solutions, and ensure accurate, high-quality system functionality. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to projects from analysis through deployment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Work & Requirements Analysis- Participate in cross-functional project initiatives, contributing to requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and solution design.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications for developers and technical teams.
- Identify system enhancement opportunities and determine the development effort required to meet business objectives.
- Consult with business partners to understand workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
System Development & Enhancement Support- Work directly with programmers and users to validate accuracy and functionality of new development, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Document business requirements, system behavior, and user stories for assigned platforms and products.
- Prepare and maintain user and system documentation that supports newly developed features or system changes.
Testing & Quality Assurance- Participate in end-to-end testing, including system testing, conversion testing, UAT coordination, and issue resolution.
- Validate that enhancements and fixes meet defined requirements and business expectations.
- Support conversion planning activities and ensure smooth transition during system updates or migrations.
Communication & Status Reporting- Provide project status updates and progress reports on behalf of development and platform teams.
- Partner collaboratively with project managers, developers, and user groups to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for assigned platforms and products.
Business Support & Special Assignments- Engage in maintenance and development projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and system reliability.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned, delivering strong attention to detail and thorough follow-through.
- Support ongoing assessment of system performance and recommend process or technology improvements.
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a related analytical/technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to document requirements, test system functionality, and support technical development processes.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred- Experience working in financial services, technology, or platform-driven environments.
- Familiarity with system conversions, data mapping, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
