Title: Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure

Salary Range: 160-170K+ 10% bonus
Summary
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing and unifying all core infrastructure functions, including systems, networking, cloud, and platform engineering. The position requires a hands-on technical leader who can also operate strategically-driving long-term infrastructure vision while ensuring operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background across multiple infrastructure disciplines and has evolved into a people leader capable of building high-performing teams, scalable systems, and standardized processes. This role combines technical depth with leadership responsibilities, serving as both a decision-maker and an active contributor.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a cross-functional infrastructure team spanning systems, networking, and cloud engineering
- Establish clear ownership, accountability, and performance expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and critical incidents
- Define and execute infrastructure strategy, including multi-year roadmaps, capacity planning, and budget oversight
- Architect and manage cloud environments, including governance, cost optimization, and secure connectivity
- Oversee server environments, identity management systems, and virtualization platforms, ensuring performance and reliability
- Provide guidance on network architecture, including routing, segmentation, firewalls, WAN design, and remote connectivity solutions
- Implement and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategies, including RTO/RPO accountability and testing
- Lead infrastructure integration efforts for acquisitions, including discovery, migration planning, and system alignment
- Partner with project management and business teams to ensure timely delivery of infrastructure initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation, system diagrams, and operational runbooks
- Drive reporting on infrastructure performance, uptime, capacity, and cost metrics
- Support compliance and audit requirements by ensuring proper controls, documentation, and governance practices
Skills
- Strong background in infrastructure engineering, including systems administration, networking, and cloud architecture
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and identity management
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, WAN, VPN, BGP, SD-WAN)
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Experience designing and managing backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell or similar tools)
- Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teams
- Ability to design scalable, resilient systems and infrastructure architectures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms and infrastructure documentation standards
