Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Xray Jira Administrator / QA Test Case Migration Specialist to lead the migration of QA test assets from legacy test management tools into Xray for Jira. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Jira administration, Xray configuration, test management processes, data migration, and QA lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the migration of test cases, test plans, test executions, requirements, and related QA artifacts into Xray for Jira.
· Configure and administer Jira and Xray projects, workflows, permissions, and custom fields.
· Analyze existing test management repositories and develop migration strategies.
· Design and execute data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
· Collaborate with QA teams, business analysts, developers, and project stakeholders to ensure successful migration outcomes.
· Create and maintain migration scripts, templates, and documentation.
· Validate migrated data and ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
· Configure dashboards, reports, and metrics within Jira and Xray.
· Support UAT, testing, and post-migration activities.
· Provide training and knowledge transfer to QA and project teams.
Required Skills
· 8 years of experience with Jira Administration and Test Management tools.
· Hands-on experience with Xray Test Management for Jira.
· Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
· Experience migrating test cases from tools such as HP ALM, Micro Focus ALM, Zephyr, TestRail, qTest, or Excel-based repositories into Xray.
· Expertise in Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, dashboards, and reporting.
· Experience with Jira REST APIs, CSV imports, and data migration utilities.
· Strong data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
