Network Architect – Aruba ClearPass / Aruba Central

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Architect to serve as the principal technical lead and primary point of communication for a large-scale enterprise network modernization project. The ideal candidate will have expert-level experience with Aruba Networking, Aruba ClearPass, Aruba Central, NAC, wireless networking, and enterprise network migrations.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure, and manage Aruba ClearPass Network Access Control (NAC) across an enterprise environment containing 2,500+ network devices and switches.
• Support Aruba switches running both ArubaOS (AOS) and ArubaOS-CX (AOS-CX).
• Lead the migration of 2,500+ Aruba switches from Aruba AirWave to Aruba Central Cloud.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade ClearPass policies and architecture.
• Configure and manage:
  • Device fingerprinting
  • Service policies
  • 802.1X authentication
  • Certificate-based authentication
  • Role mapping
  • VLAN assignment
  • Downloadable User Roles (DUR)
• Deploy, configure, and manage Aruba wireless controllers and access points.
• Configure and administer Aruba AirWave and Aruba Central for centralized network monitoring, management, dashboards, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot complex network access, authentication, certificate, wireless, switching, and NAC issues.
• Perform wireless site surveys, predictive heat mapping, and RF optimization to improve network coverage, capacity, and throughput.
• Identify opportunities to automate network administration and operational processes.
• Develop automation solutions using scripting and APIs where appropriate.
• Analyze network monitoring data and optimize dashboards, alerts, and operational processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network architecture documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for network architecture and implementation activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and project teams to resolve technical issues and deliver project milestones.

Required Qualifications:

• Active HPE Aruba Networking Certified Expert – Network Security certification.
• Expert-level experience deploying, configuring, and managing Aruba ClearPass NAC in large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience serving as a primary technical lead for a large-scale Aruba network migration involving 2,000+ switches.
• Expert-level experience with Aruba Central deployment, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced experience troubleshooting and deploying device and user certificates.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Aruba ClearPass
  • 802.1X
  • NAC
  • RADIUS
  • Certificate-based authentication
  • VLAN assignment
  • Role-based access control
  • ArubaOS / AOS-CX
  • Enterprise wireless networking

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python and PowerShell for:
  • Network configuration automation
  • Log parsing
  • API integration
  • Network orchestration
  • Operational automation
• Extensive experience deploying, configuring, and administering Aruba AirWave in enterprise environments.
• Experience using AirWave for network monitoring, performance management, and baseline compliance.
• Experience administering the Palo Alto Networks security suite, including:
  • Panorama
  • Prisma Access
  • Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
  • Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM)
  • Strata Logging Service
• HPE Advanced Product Certified in ClearPass certification.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise network transformation and cloud-based network management.

Certification Requirements:

Required - HPE Aruba Networking Certified Expert – Network Security

Preferred - HPE Advanced Product Certified in ClearPass

Location Requirement

This is a 100% remote position; however, candidates must reside within the State of Florida. Candidates must be able to work remotely while supporting the client's project and operational requirements.
