Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible; core onsite hours 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

About the Role

We are seeking a Corporate Income Tax Senior Accountant to join a stable, well-established organization with a collaborative and results-driven culture. This role offers visibility into corporate operations and the opportunity to contribute to long-term strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will work primarily in corporate tax, supporting tax planning, audit defense, compliance, and special projects. This position reports to the corporate tax department and interacts with teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze complex tax planning projects in alignment with corporate tax strategies.

  • Assist with special tax projects related to quarterly and annual tax provisions, including data analysis and journal entry preparation.

  • Manage responses to tax notices, exam information requests, and other correspondence for federal, state, and international audits.

  • Assist in preparing Country-by-Country reports and Master Files for federal tax returns.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and maintain key tax-related information.

  • Support preparation of federal and state tax returns and related workpapers.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Tax preferred.

  • CPA or CPA candidate.

  • 3–5 years of corporate tax experience; at least 2 years in public accounting or a large corporate tax department.

  • Corporate income tax experience required (sales tax experience not sufficient).

  • Experience in international tax is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting/tax software (Hyperion, SAP, Corptax) preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexible and able to perform under pressure.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in larger corporate environments rather than small companies.

  • Department mostly senior-level, providing room for growth.

  • No banking background preferred.
