Summary

Job Title: Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst (Graveyard Shift)

Role Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive NOC Analyst to join our 24/7 Network Operations Center. In this "Eyes on Glass" role, you will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of enterprise network systems, hardware interfaces, and application health. You will act as the first line of defense in identifying system events, correlating alarms to eliminate duplication, and issuing critical outage notifications. This is a high-responsibility position requiring a disciplined professional who can maintain peak focus during overnight shifts to ensure uninterrupted system availability.

Key Responsibilities
Active Monitoring: Maintain continuous "Eyes on Glass" surveillance of network devices, interfaces, and applications using automated monitoring tools and intelligent hardware.
Incident Management: Create and manage tickets, incidents, and service requests within the enterprise tracking system, ensuring all events are documented with high accuracy.
Event Correlation: Analyze and correlate multiple incoming alarms to isolate root causes and eliminate duplicate event reporting.
Outage Notification: Execute initial outage notification protocols, communicating system events to stakeholders as directed to facilitate rapid response.
Operational Scheduling: Monitor system-level scheduling alarms and alerts to ensure all 24/7 operational requirements are met.
Documentation: Maintain clear and organized logs of network activity and incident resolutions using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate Degree (AA) in Information Technology or a related field is strongly preferred.
Experience:
1 year of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), telecommunications, or internet service provider environment.
Previous experience utilizing enterprise ticket management systems (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira Service Management).
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and operating support systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
Soft Skills:
Strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear event reporting.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts.
Logistics: Must be able to work the specified graveyard shift and be open to a varied schedule in a 7x24 environment as business needs evolve. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans
