Brief Role Summary:
Senior Analyst supporting Data Loss Prevention and Data Security initiatives to protect sensitive SMBC data. Responsible for monitoring DLP alerts, performing initial triage, escalating incidents, supporting incident validation, documenting playbooks/job aids, preparing program metrics, and providing feedback for DLP policy tuning.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor alerts from DLP technologies. Perform initial triage and escalation based on internal processes. Partner with senior DLP leaders to support incident validation. Draft playbooks, job aids, and operational documentation. Provide feedback to technologists responsible for DLP policy tuning and rule effectiveness. Prepare DLP program metrics and routine reporting. Support ad hoc data requests from DLP leadership. Pull together multiple data sources to develop holistic views of alerts, incidents, and trends.
Required Skills:
DLP alert monitoring, incident triage, escalation management, DLP metrics reporting, Excel including pivot tables, analytical thinking, attention to detail, written/verbal communication, cross-functional coordination.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Proofpoint, Microsoft Purview, Island.io, ServiceNow/Jira, data security, insider risk, information protection, policy tuning, security operations, privacy/data governance.
