Summary

Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong technical background to support enterprise software development and IT modernization initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, developers, architects, and data professionals to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements while helping drive successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid environments, supporting complex technology projects, SaaS implementations, and system modernization efforts.

Candidates should be located within approximately a three-hour driving distance of the office location to support occasional onsite meetings when required. Any associated travel or parking expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business analysis activities, including problem identification, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and solution definition.
  • Elicit, document, analyze, validate, and manage business and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, feasible, and aligned with project goals and organizational standards.
  • Create process flows, specifications, diagrams, models, and other documentation to support development and implementation efforts.
  • Facilitate requirement reviews and ensure development teams clearly understand business needs.
  • Track and manage requirements, change requests, and project impacts throughout implementation.
  • Communicate requirement updates, enhancements, and modifications to project managers, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge transfer between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Partner with Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Architects, Developers, and Data Governance teams to ensure cross-functional requirements are addressed.
  • Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, coordinate testing activities, and facilitate business validation sessions.
  • Provide project status insights and meaningful reporting to business and IT leadership.

Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience leading business and technical requirements discovery, analysis, and documentation efforts.
  • Strong background supporting software development and IT project implementations.
  • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project methodologies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and guide adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects.
  • Proficiency with requirements management and development lifecycle tools.
  • Strong process analysis and documentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide project insights and effectively communicate with all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical or systems analysis background.
  • Experience supporting healthcare-related technology projects.
  • Experience with data modernization, data warehousing, or large-scale data initiatives.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management credentials.
  • Experience working within government, public-sector, or highly regulated environments.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or related cloud certifications.
