Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading technical teams to deliver highly scalable, reliable, and secure applications that align with the strategic technology vision. The position is critical in delivering a best-in-class authentication solution for a high-volume transaction system, handling peak throughput while upholding strong engineering, agility, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams in delivering highly scalable and reliable applications that meet business timelines and align with the strategic technology vision.
- Deliver a best-in-class authentication solution for a high-volume transaction system.
- Partner with Solution Architects and Platform Architects to ensure implementations meet solution architecture and design standards.
- Understand, advocate, and augment platform principles, guidelines, and standards.
- Serve as an advocate for high software agility and quality standards within a culture of engineering excellence.
- Promote and support agile practices to increase delivery agility.
- Coach and support teammates across multiple teams.
- Create, maintain, and ensure adherence to development, coding, testing, and automation standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Technical Skills:- Essential: Java
- Essential: JavaScript and related frameworks
- Essential: Web application development
- Essential: Spring Cloud or similar API gateways
- Essential: REST APIs
- Essential: Testing automation frameworks such as JUnit, Karma, Ruby, Cucumber, or Java BDD
- Essential: MongoDB
- Essential: Experience with logging technologies, log analysis, and reporting
- Essential: Experience with CI/CD technologies
- Essential: Experience with containerized deployment
- Essential: Understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth and SAML
Soft Skills:- Demonstrates curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Proven software design experience building applications capable of handling high transaction volumes while maintaining high availability.
- Proven experience solving problems in high-stress and time-critical situations, including production issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience with Angular
- Preferred: Experience with consumer-facing web applications
- Preferred: Experience with PostgreSQL
- Preferred: Experience with Splunk, BigQuery, or Grafana
- Preferred: Experience with GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Sonar, Black Duck, or Veracode
- Preferred: Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS
- Preferred: Experience developing identity and authentication solutions
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
