Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities: - Complete and track compliance deliverables to ensure applications adhere to applicable policies and standards as well as local laws, rules and regulations (LRR)
- Complete administrative and non-technical tasks related to compliance deliverables and infrastructure requests for the applications they support
- Support vendors, development teams and technology managers to ensure technical security, risk, and other compliance activities are completed on-time and per requirements
- Partner closely with control functions, risk management and Global Information Security (GIS) and are familiar with the applicable policies, standards, LRRs, contacts and procedures so that the compliance deliverables are completed effectively and efficiently
- Work with multiple teams and managers at the program level, under the supervision from a more senior domain expert
- Ensure that risk, security, and other compliance deliverables are completed on time and per requirements for the applications they support
- Complete administrative and non-technical tasks related to compliance deliverables (for example, access reviews, assessments, questionnaires, procedural requirements, and so on)
- Assist with audit exams and risk assessments for the applications
- Track and support the technical security and risk activities performed by the development teams (i.e., remediation of nonpermitted technology or security vulnerabilities, technical recovery planning, disaster recovery exercises, and so on)
- Maintain data about the application in AppHQ and other systems of record
- Work closely with vendors for vendor applications to ensure the application meets client requirements
- Assist with ad hoc inquiries and questions about the application
- Interface with technology infrastructure teams for infrastructure requirements like requests for additional storage
- Understand all roles and responsibilities within their team, and uses the tool sets within the software lifecycle
- Contribute to artifacts needed for governance forums
- Understand stakeholder expectations and create regular updates to keep stakeholders informed
- Facilitate team planning ceremonies against backlog/prioritized work
- Manage risk/dependencies/impediments for one team
- Identify risk/dependencies and quantify the impact it has on the business/technology and what controls are to be used to resolve
- Participate in or support delivery of architecture designs and implementations
- Data Management practices and technologies
- Weekly report generation, JIRA-kanban, ITIL process
Requirements: - MS PPT, XLS, Pivot, macros to manage data, automate reports, presentations, KPI Dashboards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to connect multiple data sources to create meaningful analysis and information for KPI reporting
- Strong follow up and ensuring projects are driven to completion
- Analytical thinking - Possesses knowledge of prior solutions to existing problems and applies them to solve similar problems
- Solution Design - Has knowledge of software development but has not been involved in hands on application development/coding
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understands the agile working methodology
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of the firm (e.g., senior and executive leaders)
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to guide projects through all phases, ensuring required standards and processes are followed, required documents are completed, and required tracking systems are kept updated
- Strong acumen to develop and manage established project plan including any required escalations and resolution of issues
- A drive to achieve results and desired outcome through formulation of meeting agendas, materials, and follow-on action items
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Understanding of technology and how it functions to be able to function day to day and understand and refine processes
- Basic understanding of Information security, understanding of Unix, Windows OS
- Scripting: XLS macros, shell scripts to manage data, reports
- InfoSec background - Worked on log analysis, Audit and compliance, familiar with VA/PT results
- Infra Background - Knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux OS, Middleware
- AI Tools - Copilot
- Ability to answer teams Agile/waterfall framework questions
- Basic awareness of products, services, business flows and strategy
- Basic understanding of financial data and the impact that their role has within a team
- Possesses knowledge of prior solutions to existing problems and applies them to solve similar problems
- Has knowledge of software development but has not been involved in hands on application development/coding
- Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices
- Ability to participate in their role and utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance
- Possesses an understanding of architecture and bank standards
Desired skills: - Bachelor's degree
- CISA, CISSP/CISM background
- Reporting, presentation, MS Suite, Communication, Jira / Kanban, Technology and Risk understanding
- Familiarity with business resiliency processes and concepts, risk management principles, technology change management, and/or audit response and preparation methods
- Familiar with remedy/nexus ticketing systems, Patch deployment/management process, CI/CD, DevOps
- Application Management
- Certifications ITILV2, CISA, CISSP, RHEL
Pay Range: $55.06-$63.06
