POSITION SUMMARY:

Reports to the NG&NGLs Process Engineering Director: Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process engineering processes, tools, and information to support successful project execution and organizational effectiveness across NG&NGL. Develops, mentors, and strengthens the capabilities of process engineering personnel through coaching, technical leadership, workforce planning, and professional development initiatives. Oversees resource management and portfolio planning to ensure the effective allocation of personnel and expertise while balancing project priorities, operational needs, risk management, and business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads the development, management, and completion of a wide range of engineering and construction projects, primarily at gas plant facilities and compression stations.
  • Supports the use of project management methods and procedures used for the various project phases including the conceptual, feasibility, and definition phases of development, implementation, startup, and closeout. Ensure that NG&NGL current project management practices are aligned with industry and company best practices.
  • Drives the development, implementation, and use of project management systems, templates, applications, and other tools and integrates them to enable the achievement of project and portfolio objectives. Seeks out feedback and pursues continuous improvement with a focus on usability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Directs project risk management processes required to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies as part of the MPMP.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of key performance indicators to measure NG&NGL project management practice adherence and effectiveness and pursues continuous improvement in those indicators. Oversee the maintenance and implementation of NG&NGL project development and execution benchmarking practices.
  • Applies project management knowledge including NG&NGL MPMP processes and procedures to produce early chartering and successful scope development.
  • Ensures designs include current engineering and construction standards, and that projects maximize operations efficiency, quality, flexibility, safety, scheduling, and reliability, while optimizing costs. Participates in developing and is responsible for delivering on the plan for the portfolio of projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Chemical or Petroleum from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • REQUIRED: 8 years experience
  • REQUIRED: Current valid driver's license
  • PREFERRED: Minimum 5 years' experience with Natural Gas Facilities
  • PREFERRED: Previous experience with new facility design engineering
  • PREFERRED: Previous experience with PSM covered assets
  • PREFERRED: Previous experience with Relief Sizing and Studies

Skills:
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of individuals/employees.
  • Must have experience with simulation modeling software such as Ariel Software, Aspen Flare System Analyzer, Symmetry Flare, Promax, HYSYS, and Symmetry

LOCATION:
  • WORKING CONDITIONS: The position is in an office setting. Travel to sites or meetings will be required up to 30%.
