Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a PM/BA - Rates and Trading for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Mississauga Ontario.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated professional to support the Rates Trading Business in a Business Analyst / Project Manager capacity. The primary focus will be assisting with initiatives related to the Data Consent Order, contributing to the delivery of regulatory commitments on time and to the required standards. This role requires a balance of attention to detail, foundational trade workflow knowledge, and technical aptitude to help ensure data used across front office trade capture and risk functions is accurate, controlled, and fit for purpose. The successful candidate will contribute to outcomes in partnership with the Business, Central Data Office, Technology stakeholders, and various other functions, aiming for measurable improvements in data quality and governance.
  • Support the execution of Data Consent Order remediation programmes, contributing to delivery in line with regulatory commitments and timelines, as well as adhering to enterprise-wide data policies.
  • Assist in the execution of data quality improvements, lineage mapping, and control frameworks.
  • Track and support remediation activities to close regulatory findings and data issues / concerns; manage evidence gathering and documentation.
  • Assist in identifying challenges and proactively seeking to resolve or escalate risk / issues in a timely and well-articulated manner.
  • Utilize tooling and automation where possible to contribute to efficiency and sustainability.
  • Analyzing large datasets using Excel, SQL, and other Firm Applications.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across Global Markets front-to-back stakeholders, e.g., trading desk, finance, operations, technology, data stewards, risk management.
  • Produce accurate project update materials and artifacts, tailoring them to various forums and committees.

Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in Investment Bank.
  • Strong experience in Data Governance / Project Management / Data Analysis.
  • Must be an energetic self-starter/able to take initiative and work effectively with guidance.
  • Familiarity with Investment Bank / Capital Markets operations.
  • Good understanding of Rates derivatives, exchange traded products, trading workflows, and the Trade Lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of Data governance practices: Data lineage, Data quality, metadata management, data controls.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with Python knowledge being an advantage, for data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to articulate information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to achieving consensus.
  • Ability to support change initiatives to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understanding different perspectives.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability.

Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's/University degree.
  • Experience in Business Transformation / Data Governance / Trade Risk / Trade Middle Office / Regulatory related roles.
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP or equivalent) a plus
