Agile Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to work as a key member of our Design Team. This position will support teams working across both Agile (Kanban/Sprint) and traditional Waterfall methodologies throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

The ideal candidate handles multiple projects smoothly, manages competing priorities, and can step up as a project coordinator for smaller workstreams.

Role Details

• Location: Richmond, VA, USA, 23219 (Local candidates only)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 4 days/week during an initial 90-day probationary period; potential for reduced onsite days afterward)
• Interview Process: Both Web Cam and In-Person Interviews required

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

To be successful in this position, you must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in systems analysis alongside these core capabilities:

• Requirements & Process Mapping: Extensive experience in requirements elicitation (workshops, interviews), writing detailed user stories, decomposing requirements into Epics/Features, and creating process flows using MS Visio.
• Agile Expertise: 5+ years as an Agile BA with a strong mastery of Scrum concepts, sprint ceremonies, and managing Product/Sprint backlogs.
• Data & Analytics: 5+ years of strong experience writing complex SQL queries (Oracle/SQL Server) for data extraction, alongside building interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
• UI/UX Prototyping: 5+ years of experience creating wireframes, conceptual prototypes, and mockups using Figma or Balsamiq.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Proven track record defining test objectives, mapping out test plans/cases, executing regression testing, and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Tools Mastery: Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (including MS Project and Project Server).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CSM (Certified Scrum Master), CBAP, or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+).
• Experience tracking work items using TFS, JIRA, or Confluence.
