We are seeking a Junior Decommissioning Engineer to support equipment and system decommissioning activities within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on documentation authoring, execution, and coordination of decommissioning efforts in compliance with site and global SOPs.
This is a hands-on, onsite role suited for engineers who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities
Author and execute decommissioning protocols and related documentation
Assess assets to determine appropriate change control pathways (Decommissioning Protocol vs. Engineering Change)
Route and manage documents through electronic document systems (KNEAT, OneVault, OneTrack, etc.)
Support deviation investigations and resolution activities
Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and SMEs to complete deliverables
Participate in validation and project review meetings as needed
Provide weekly activity reports including progress, risks, and billable hours
Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time
Qualifications
2 4 years of experience in commissioning, qualification, or decommissioning in a regulated industry
Experience working within GMP or highly regulated environments
Familiarity with change control and validation documentation
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Quick learner with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have
Experience with pharmaceutical or biotech facilities
Exposure to electronic document management systems (KNEAT, OneVault, OneTrack)
Validation lifecycle knowledge
