Licensed HVAC Technician - 5 Years Commercial Experience

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n - Install, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, and air distribution systems according to specifications and building codes
\n
\n
\n - Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures in HVAC equipment, replace defective components (compressors, motors, fans, controls), and perform brazed repairs and refrigerant recovery/charging procedures
\n
\n
\n - Execute preventive maintenance program plant-wide including scheduled inspections, filter changes, lubrication, refrigerant level checks, coil cleaning, and system performance monitoring
\n
\n
\n - Maintain accurate maintenance records in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensure all systems operate within manufacturer specifications
\n
\n
\n - Troubleshoot electrical components including motors, contactors, relays, and power distribution systems (120V-480V) using electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
\n
\n
\n - Work with building automation systems (BAS) and digital controls, including installation and programming of thermostats, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control panels
\n
\n
\n - Service refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers, freezers, process cooling) while maintaining EPA compliance for refrigerant handling, recovery, and recycling procedures
\n
\n
\n - Assess equipment condition and provide recommendations for repairs, replacements, and energy efficiency improvements; order parts and maintain inventory
\n
\n
\n - Ensure safety and regulatory compliance following OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, EPA Section 608 refrigerant regulations, and proper use of PPE
\n
\n
\n - Read and interpret technical documentation including electrical schematics, control sequences, and equipment specifications to diagnose issues and complete installations
\n
\n
\n
Qualifications
\n
Required:
\n
\n - Freon/Refrigerant License Required (EPA Section 608 Universal certification)
\n
\n
\n - 3-5 years of HVAC experience in commercial or industrial settings
\n
\n
\n - Strong electro-mechanical skills with proven troubleshooting ability
\n
\n
\n - Ability to properly use hand tools and test equipment in a safe manner
\n
\n
\n - Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, control systems, and electrical equipment
\n
\n
\n - Ability to determine cause of electrical failures in HVAC systems
\n
\n
\n - Valid driver's license required
\n
\n
\n - High school diploma or equivalent
\n
\n
\n - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
\n
\n
Preferred:
\n
\n - 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience
\n
\n
\n - State HVAC contractor license or journeyman certification
\n
\n
\n - Experience with building automation systems (BAS) such as Trane, Carrier, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell
\n
\n
\n - Boiler operator license
\n
\n
\n - Electrical journeyman or master electrician license
\n
\n
\n - Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments
\n
\n
\n - Forklift and aerial lift certification
\n
\n
\n - OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
\n
\n
\n - NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification
\n
\n
