Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP WorkZone Advanced Edition Consultant with strong expertise in SAP RAP, ABAP, and BTP application development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy scalable, cloud-native applications using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and integrate them with S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.
This role requires hands-on experience with RAP (managed and unmanaged scenarios), CDS Views, OData V4 services, Fiori/UI5 integration, and SAP BTP WorkZone Advanced Edition.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy applications using SAP BTP and SAP RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model).
Configure and implement solutions using SAP BTP WorkZone Advanced Edition.
Implement RAP behavior definitions, service definitions, service bindings, draft handling, and transactional processing.
Develop end-to-end OData V4 services and integrate with Fiori Elements and SAP UI5.
Build reusable CDS artifacts, metadata extensions, and extensibility frameworks.
Integrate SAP BTP applications with:
SAP S/4HANA
SAP ECC
SAP Cloud Integration (CPI)
Event Mesh
Destination Service
API Management
Ensure adherence to SAP clean core and cloud-ready development practices.
Optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and support deployments.
Collaborate with architects, functional teams, and DevOps to design scalable and secure solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and architecture artifacts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8–10 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP and BTP WorkZone Advanced Edition.
Expertise in SAP RAP (Managed & Unmanaged scenarios).
Strong knowledge of:
CDS Views, Annotations, Metadata Extensions
Behavior Definitions & Implementations
Draft-enabled applications
OData V4 services
Fiori Elements & SAP UI5
Experience integrating BTP applications with S/4HANA, ECC, and CPI.
Experience with Event Mesh, Destination Service, API Management, and IAS/IPS.
Solid understanding of cloud-native development principles and multi-tenant application architecture.
Experience with Git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS) or ABAP Git.
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
