Summary

We are building a large-scale Investment Accounting platform. We are looking to add software engineers with deep investment accounting, platform development, and enterprise application delivery experience to help design, build, test, and deploy a state-of-the-art investment accounting application.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, engineering teams, scrum teams, among others by providing core engineering capacity across critical Investment Accounting build workstreams.
  1. You will work within existing scrum and program governance structures aligned with our roadmap, architecture, or final business prioritization. Project Objectives


    • Deliver production-ready code across a variety of different workstreams and products
    • Accelerate engineering velocity within existing scrum teams
    • Ensure all delivered code aligns with our SDLC Definition of Done
    • Support iterative delivery aligned with MVP milestones across all desired sales models
    • Facilitate documented handoffs for completed workstreams and ensure continuity for ongoing work under a new SOW
    • Adhere to best practices for security, accessibility, and documentation
  • You will be responsible for:
    • Developing, unit-testing, and delivering code aligned with approved requirements, acceptance criteria, and architectural standards across assigned workstreams.
    • Reviewing existing documentation and collaborating with stakeholders to establish clear understanding of current-state and target-state for in-scope workstreams.
    • Translating approved requirements into production-ready code, including implementation of epics, features, and user stories with supporting automated tests.
    • Writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, and where applicable end-to-end) to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
    • Working within existing Investment Accounting scrum teams and governance structure.
    • Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and deployment runbooks across all workstreams.
    • Supporting defect resolution, production readiness activities, and release management processes.
    • Coordinating across business and technology stakeholders to resolve technical ambiguities, identify dependencies, and support handoff.
    • Development of functionalities in following areas (representative but limited to):
      • Reconciliation
      • Central Ref Data Service
      • Corporate Actions
      • Cash and Collateral
      • Data - Account & Security Resolution
      • Data ? Central Multi-tenant data model
      • Interfaces and Integrations


It is expected that resources will have the following skills and capabilities:
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Modern software engineering, including proficiency in languages and frameworks relevant to our technology stack
    • Investment Accounting platform development and functional knowledge in the following areas:
      • Core Operations: Multicurrency Fund Accounting, Institutional Operations, and Custody
      • Controls & Processing: Exception Management, NAV controls, and SWIFT processing
      • Technology & Integration : Event orchestration, enterprise interfaces, and system integrations
      • Accounting Domains : Wealth Accounting and Investment Accounting
      • Portfolio Management: Investment Selection, Portfolio Composition, Asset Allocation, and Optimization
      • Reporting & Settlements: Financial Reporting and trade/settlement processing
    • Microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems
    • Event based architecture
    • Java, SQL, Kubernetes, Github, Redis
    • Cloud-native development and deployment - Azure, Snowflake, Postgres
    • CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices
    • Multi-tenancy
    • Data governance and quality controls
    • LLMs and Agentic Infrastructure, LLM Prompt Engineering, MCP, RAG

  1. Communication and Reporting:


    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with project stakeholders.
    • Ability to document technical decisions, design rationale, and code architecture made during development.
    • Experience with Agile workflows and participation in sprint meetings, stand-ups, or Kanban boards (e.g., JIRA).


  1. Quality Standards and Expectations:
    • All delivered code must meet our SDLC Definition of Done, including peer review, automated test coverage, and documentation.
    • Maintain coding standards and contribute to shared engineering best practices.
    • Ensure all artifacts are approved by designated business and engineering owners and maintained in agreed repositories.
    • All project resources provided are trained in and will incorporate into the performance of services software security according to the current Open Web Application Security Project (?OWASP?) secure coding practices quick reference guide and OWASP top 10 application security risks, CWE/SANS Top 25 and SEI CERT Coding Standard.
    • All code delivered shall comply with the above requirement and meet any service level for quality.
