Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior WMS QA Tester / Test Lead with strong expertise in Supply Chain, Distribution, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in functional, system integration, end-to-end, and regression testing across enterprise warehouse management solutions and connected business systems.

This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, WMS integrations, API testing, test management, and defect resolution. The candidate will lead QA activities, mentor team members, and actively participate in test execution to ensure high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test estimates based on business and functional requirements.

• Perform functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E), regression, and system testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Validate critical warehouse processes, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, order fulfillment, inventory management, and Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs).

• Test integrations between WMS, ERP, Order Management Systems (OMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI/API interfaces, and external warehouse systems.

• Perform API and web service testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.

• Create test data and validate standalone system functionality when dependent end-to-end systems are unavailable.

• Manage test execution, traceability, and defects using Jira and Zephyr Scale.

• Maintain QA documentation, test evidence, and collaboration materials in Confluence.

• Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, retesting, and coordination with development, business, integration, and vendor teams.

• Publish daily and weekly QA reports covering execution progress, defects, risks, blockers, and release readiness.

• Mentor QA team members on WMS functionality, warehouse processes, and testing standards.

• Identify opportunities to improve regression suites, reusable test assets, QA processes, and overall testing efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software QA and testing, with strong exposure to supply chain, distribution, and warehouse management systems.

• Proven hands-on experience testing enterprise WMS solutions and warehouse operations.

• Strong functional knowledge of receiving, putaway, pick-pack-ship, inventory management, order fulfillment, and ASNs.

• Extensive experience in functional, SIT, E2E, regression, and UAT support.

• Experience validating integrations across WMS, ERP, OMS, TMS, EDI, APIs, and external systems.

• Hands-on API/web services testing experience using Postman and/or SoapUI.

• Strong test planning, test case design, test data preparation, execution, and requirements traceability skills.

• Experience with Jira, Zephyr Scale, and Confluence.

• Proven ability to lead defect triage, coordinate stakeholders, and communicate testing status and risks.

• Ability to mentor team members while remaining actively involved in hands-on testing.

• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Good to Have

• Test automation experience using Selenium and/or Playwright.

• Ability to identify suitable functional regression scenarios for automation.

• SQL and database validation experience.

• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, EDI, middleware, and integration testing.

• Exposure to warehouse automation, material-handling systems, conveyors, sortation, robotics, or Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS).

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
