Position SummaryThe
Senior Solution Architect will join the
ServiceNow Enterprise Platform team within the Cybersecurity Infrastructure organization. This role partners closely with fellow Solution Architects, agile delivery teams, and the ServiceNow Product Manager to shape how ServiceNow supports "the business of IT."
You will define solution architectures, translate business outcomes into scalable designs, and drive integration across ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms. This role also provides architectural leadership, roadmap development, and technical guidance across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, DevSecOps, Cloud, and End User Computing domains.
This position sits within a job family that spans multiple seniority levels; the final title and pay grade will reflect the selected candidate's experience.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive the solution architecture strategy and roadmap supporting IT and business initiatives.
- Serve as a coordinating architectural advisor across business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, Solution/System Architects, and the ServiceNow Platform Product Manager.
- Ensure platform solutions are scalable, maintainable, compliant, and aligned with architectural standards and business strategies.
- Translate business needs into actionable ServiceNow solution designs, process flows, and Agile stories.
- Lead and mentor teams in architectural best practices across Business, Application, Technology, Information, and Security Architecture domains.
- Resolve complex cross-system integration and alignment challenges.
- Design data mining and integration patterns (APIs, reports, ETL, system-to-system workflows, etc.).
- Represent solution architecture in strategic IT and Cybersecurity Infrastructure planning discussions.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity Infrastructure enablement teams to identify technology opportunities, align demand, and contribute to roadmap planning.
- Act as a bridge between business needs and technical execution to ensure solutions address true business problems.
Day-to-Day Expectations- Support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes with a strong focus on ServiceNow.
- Work within the ITIL service space: service desk/ticketing, lifecycle tracking, configuration, and licensing.
- Lead approaches for asset management of both hardware and software.
- Develop strategies for tracking and maturing IT asset processes within ServiceNow.
- Act as a senior individual contributor collaborating across architecture teams; serve as a team lead and SME for ServiceNow and ITIL governance.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
- 2+ years in an architecture role (must have held architect-level titles).
- Strong experience with the ServiceNow platform including architecture principles, design practices, and module understanding.
- Experience working with Agile teams and methodologies.
- Proficiency with Azure cloud environments.
Preferred Experience- Deep experience across ServiceNow modules such as CMDB, Discovery, SPM, ITSM, Employee Center, HRSD, Asset Management, and Operations Management (AIOps).
- Broad understanding of technologies across Cybersecurity, Cloud, Core Infrastructure, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and End User Computing.
- Experience within large, complex enterprise environments supporting cross-functional teams.
