COMPENSATION: $52 - $62 HOURLY
Role Overview
This position is for an AI engineer to execute engineering tasks within a research team. The team focuses on driving innovation toward superintelligence through data curation algorithms, improved modeling of spatial and temporal knowledge, and more efficient research tools. In this role, you will be embedded within the team to convert ideas into implementations and solutions, building new algorithms, functionalities, and architectures in our research platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support researchers and full-time employees in implementing advanced research systems and technologies on the cloud in the domain of AI and machine perception.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams in computer vision and machine learning.
- Participate in the team's publication efforts to turn work into broad research outcomes.
- Contribute to the definition and execution of system implementation roadmaps.
- Conduct independent implementation and engineering work related to LLMs, foundation models, and data research.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, NLP, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Deep Learning, Computer Vision, LLMs, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
Technical Skills: One or more years of experience in C/C++, Python, or Rust. Experience developing computer vision algorithms or infrastructure. Basic understanding of deep learning and PyTorch.
Preferred Qualifications
- MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- Experience with distributed systems algorithm development.
- Industry experience working on projects such as image/video generation.
