The Senior Developer will serve as a key liaison between client and project stakeholders, collaborating closely with agency partners totranslate strategic goals, business processes, and functional needs into robusttechnical solutions. This position requires strong facilitation, requirementsanalysis, and solution-design capabilities to ensure technology updates areefficient, sustainable, and aligned with agency objectives.
As part of the broader DNR support team, the SeniorDeveloper will work alongside business analysts and other technical staff,contributing to work requests, system enhancements, and operational activitieswithin the DTMB Agency Services environment.
Exceptional customer service, clear communication, and theability to guide agency partners through DTMB processes and technicalconstraints are critical to success in this role. The candidate must be able toquickly learn new systems, understand applicable standards and limitations, andhelp stakeholders navigate them to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and enhance applications supporting DNR, includingpublic-facing tools such as the Michigan burn-permit availability application.
• Collaborate with business analysts and agency stakeholdersto interpret requirements, clarify business processes, and design technicalsolutions.
• Translate business needs into system architecture,technical specifications, and development tasks.
• Support project and work-request activities throughcoding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Participate in discovery sessions, elicitation activities,and process modeling to ensure alignment between business objectives and systemfunctionality.
• Provide expert guidance on technical feasibility,constraints, standards, and DTMB policies.
• Maintain strong communication with agency partners topromote transparency and shared understanding throughout the developmentlifecycle.
• Support operational activities and participate as a keymember of the DTMB Agency Services technical team.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, andimplement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, andquality standards.
Skills :
Required Skills:
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in .NET, MS SQL Server and ANGULAR.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications anddelivering maintainable, scalable code.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirementsinto technical designs and working software.
• Excellent communication, customer-service mindset, andstakeholder-relationship skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technical environments andunderstand system dependencies.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities,and adapt to changing requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree
