Job Title: Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Configuration Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Configuration Analyst to join a growing SAP Finance team. The client is rebuilding its organization after recent downsizing and is currently undergoing multiple large-scale transformation initiatives.

This role requires a hands-on configurator with strong functional breadth across Finance, who can act as a thought leader, drive best practices, and help standardize and automate financial processes within an S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration across key modules including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Controlling (CO)
  • Profitability Analysis (COPA)
• Own and drive Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Conduct and lead:
  • Design workshops
  • Fit-to-standard sessions
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Provide functional leadership on medium to large-scale SAP initiatives
• Partner with business stakeholders to implement best practices and process automation
• Collaborate with and manage system integrators and external consultants
• Support integration with financial ecosystem tools such as:
  • BlackLine
  • Banking systems
  • Lease management or consolidation platforms

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP Finance configuration experience, including S/4HANA
• Strong hands-on experience across multiple Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, CO, COPA, AA)
• Proven experience in Record-to-Report (R2R) process ownership
• Experience with multiple implementations or re-implementations
• Strong understanding of Finance best practices and automation strategies
• Experience working in complex, evolving environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Prior experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry – REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience acting as a functional lead or SME
• Exposure to financial integrations and third-party tools
• Ability to mentor junior team members and influence business decisions
