Engineering & Design:
• Develop and review detailed engineering designs for HV/EHV substations (AIS/GIS)
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layout drawings, GA drawings, control & relay schematics
• Perform equipment sizing and selection for transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, surge arresters, and busbars
• Carry out grounding / earthing system design and calculations
• Review protection schemes and relay coordination studies
Technical Documentation:
• Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, datasheets, and tender documents
• Review vendor drawings, documents, and technical submissions for compliance
• Ensure adherence to IEC / IEEE standards and project requirements
Project Execution & Coordination:
• Coordinate with civil, protection, SCADA, and transmission line teams
• Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and client discussions
• Address site technical queries and resolve design-related issues
Quality, Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure designs comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, and QA/QC requirements
• Support FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities
• Assist in risk assessments and HAZOP/HAZID studies
Required Qualifications:
• bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (mandatory)
• Experience in electrical substation design or substation project engineering
• EIT or PE (Electrical) certification is desirable
Technical Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of HV/EHV substation design (12kV and above)
• Experience with AIS and GIS substations
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD / MicroStation
• Experience with ETAP / CYME / SKM (preferred)
• Knowledge of protection systems, SCADA, and control systems
• Familiarity with IEC / IEEE standards
• Good understanding of EPC project lifecycle
