Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior AI Security Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The Senior AI Security Engineer will serve as an embedded security expert supporting teams that design and build generative AI and agentic AI solutions. This position requires hands-on security experience across both AWS Bedrock and Microsoft Azure. The consultant will identify and remediate security risks before AI applications and agents are deployed, including evaluating whether systems can be manipulated, expose sensitive data, access unauthorized resources, misuse connected tools, or exhibit abnormal behavior.
Responsibilities: - Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security testing for generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI solutions
- Identify and remediate prompt injection, jailbreak, data-exposure, unauthorized-access, and agent manipulation risks
- Secure AI agents, tool-calling capabilities, orchestration frameworks, APIs, and system integrations
- Design and implement AI guardrails, identity and access controls, secrets management, monitoring, and detection capabilities
- Evaluate security controls within AWS Bedrock and Microsoft Azure environments
- Validate that AI agents cannot access data, systems, or tools beyond their authorized scope
- Test AI applications for malicious or abnormal behavior
- Partner with AI, cloud, application development, and cybersecurity teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Embed security controls into architecture, development, testing, and deployment processes
- Provide remediation guidance and validate that identified vulnerabilities have been resolved
Requirements: - 10+ years of cybersecurity or security engineering experience
- Hands-on AWS Bedrock security experience
- Strong Microsoft Azure cloud and AI security experience
- Demonstrated experience securing solutions across both AWS and Azure environments
- Experience securing generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI systems
- Strong knowledge of prompt injection, jailbreak attacks, data leakage, AI guardrails, and agent/tool-use security
- Understanding of AI agents, RAG, tool calling, agent orchestration, and supporting architectures
- Experience with threat modeling, security testing, architecture reviews, and secure SDLC practices
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management, secrets management, secure integrations, and security monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to implement and validate technical security controls
- Must be a hands-on security engineer rather than someone primarily focused on policy or governance
Pay range: $89.00 - $99.00 per hour
