RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is seeking a Project Engineer in Davie, FL.

Summary:
The Project Engineer provides advanced technical expertise in hydraulic system modeling, planning, design, permitting, construction, and monitoring of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems. They will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and lead capital improvement and infrastructure projects from concept through completion.

Responsibilities:
* Develop, update, and maintain hydraulic models for water and wastewater systems using Aquanuity, WaterGEMS, or similar platforms
* Integrate real-time performance data with SCADA systems for digital twinning and continuous monitoring
* Conduct scenario modeling for system planning, capital projects, and new development review
* Lead and review technical reports, planning studies, engineering calculations, and design documents
* Review construction plans, cost estimates, and technical reports for accuracy and compliance
* Analyze operational data and prepare reports for system efficiency and compliance
* Manage capital improvement and operational projects, including internal teams and external consultants
* Coordinate with engineers, contractors, utility companies, and government agencies
* Prepare budgets and lead grant/loan applications for funded projects
* Perform field activities such as site investigations and water quality sampling
* Ensure safety compliance and resolve project issues promptly
* Travel to various sites as required

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline
* Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in water/wastewater/stormwater with hydraulic modeling focus
* Proficiency with Aquanuity and/or WaterGEMS; experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and ESRI (GIS) is a plus
* Valid Florida Driver's License
* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with capital improvement planning and financial forecasting
* Knowledge of project and construction management methods
* Ability to analyze complex engineering data and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
* Experience preparing grant and loan applications for state and federally funded projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
