AV Technician

Overview

We are seeking skilled AV Technicians to support multiple fast-paced construction and technology integration projects across the Utah market. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role with a strong likelihood of extension and conversion. Technicians will perform a wide range of AV and low-voltage tasks, including security camera installation, structured cabling, and AV system integration (Crestron, Q-Sys, Extron, Biamp, and more).
Technicians will meet at a centralized location in Ogden and travel to job sites with our dispatch team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to work efficiently, deliver high-quality installations, and collaborate effectively with junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot:
  • Access control systems
  • Security cameras (CCTV)
  • Audio-visual systems (Crestron, Q-Sys, Extron, Biamp)
  • Wireless access points
• Perform structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cable)
• Conduct cable terminations and testing
• Assist in system set-up, tear-down, and general hardware support
• Follow construction standards and safety protocols on all job sites
• Ensure timely and professional completion of assigned tasks

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert-level skill in:
  • Audio Visual systems
  • Security camera installation
  • Low-voltage cabling & structured cabling
  • Troubleshooting and technical support
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as:
  • PDK, Salto, Genea
  • Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Q-Sys
  • CCTV & wireless access points
• Strong understanding of job-site safety and construction environments
• Must provide personal tools (listed below)
• Must wear standard PPE

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
