Program Analyst Senior - Payer EDI Project Coordinator

Location:Remote

Description:

Seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Program Analyst Senior to serve as the Payer EDI Project Coordinator, providing strategic planning, coordination, and scheduling support to the Payer EDI product team. This role supports prioritization and sequencing of EDI (X12) work, maintains a rolling roadmap, coordinates across VA and OIT stakeholders, and ensures initiatives and milestones remain current and well-managed in JIRA. The ideal candidate brings systems-thinking, strong planning/documentation skills, and working knowledge of EDI operations and Agile delivery cadence

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

Support prioritization and sequencing of Payer EDI initiatives, enhancements, and compliance-driven work.

Develop and maintain a rolling roadmap (e.g., 12-month) for Payer EDI initiatives and dependencies.

Produce and update project schedules; coordinate milestones and deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups.

Maintain and manage work items in JIRA (initiatives/epics/features), including milestone tracking and progress reporting.

Coordinate planning across development, testing, and release activities; ensure schedule alignment with broader program timelines.

Facilitate cross-team collaboration, ensuring decisions, action items, and dependencies are captured and driven to completion.

Draft and maintain workplans, meeting notes, decision logs, and communications artifacts as needed.

Required Skills:

Strong project coordination, roadmap development, and stakeholder management capability.

Proficiency with JIRA for planning, prioritization, milestone tracking, and reporting.

Understanding of EDI operations and the Agile cadence for development/testing/release.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex work into clear plans and reporting.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security clearance.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience in VA/VHA, federal healthcare, payer operations, claims/EDI modernization, and/or OIT coordination.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years relevant experience in program/project coordination, product/program operations, or health IT planning preferred.

Preferred: Agile/Scrum certification and/or EDI-related certification.
