Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will ensure database availability, performance, security, and data integrity while supporting application teams and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Monitor database performance and tune queries, indexes, and stored procedures
• Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
• Ensure high availability using replication, clustering, log shipping, or Always On
• Implement database security, user access control, and compliance policies
• Troubleshoot database issues and resolve production incidents
• Perform database upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
• Support development teams with database design and optimization
• Document database architecture, processes, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)
• Expertise in T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with backup & recovery, HA/DR solutions
• Knowledge of SQL Server security, roles, and permissions
• Experience with monitoring tools (SSMS, SQL Profiler, third-party tools)
• Understanding of Windows Server and basic networking
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure SQL / SQL Managed Instance
• PowerShell scripting for automation
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud environments
• SQL Server certifications (MCSA / MCSE)

Experience Level

• 8–12 years of experience as a SQL DBA
