Role: Senior QA Engineer Automated

Duration: 12 months 

Location: Austin, TX 78744

This position requires an onsite presence 4 to 5 days per week. Candidates must reside in the Austin area and be authorized to work in the United States.

Duties will include:

• Utilizing the client templates to create traditional testing documentation (e.g., Test Plans, Test
• Cases, Test Summary Memos) and utilizing modern generative AI assistants to accelerate drafting and expand structural edge-case coverage.
• Executing Test Plans and Test Cases across all testing phases. Responsible for utilizing Xray, Jira, or other Test Management tools to trace requirements and manage defect lifecycle execution.
• Managing the Defect Management Process, including defect identification, isolation, root-cause investigation, and vendor resolution tracking.
• Designing, developing, configuring, and supporting scalable code-driven Automated Test Frameworks.
• Developing and executing automated regression test suites, utilizing AI-augmented coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate script authoring and minimize cycle times.
• Implementing and maintaining UI-driven automation workflows (such as UiPath) and transitioning manual test steps into robust automated execution blocks.
• Utilizing developed automated scripts to perform basic performance testing and scalability monitoring when applicable.
• Attending daily scrum/status meetings and proactively reporting testing status, blockers, defect metrics, and risk assessments to the project team.

Minimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• 5 Years of Manual testing experience across various phases (System, Integration, UAT) with core mastery of black-box and boundary value analysis testing methodologies.
• 5 Years of Proficient in authoring technical testing documentation including Test Plans, Test Cases, matrices, and summary reports.
• 5 Years of Hands-on experience using Jira or similar tools for Defect Tracking and Workflow Management.
• 5 Years of Experience using Xray or alternative Test Management systems (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail) to ensure full requirements traceability.
• 4 Years of Developing, refactoring, and maintaining automated regression test scripts and frameworks from scratch.
• 4 Years of Hands-on experiences with modern test automation toolsets and scripting libraries (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or UiPath).
• 4 Years of Experience configuring automation scripts to execute within continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Microsoft Azure DevOps).
• 4 Years of Hands Experience with programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript.
• 4 Years of Hands on experience in development test scripts in BDD format using Cucumber and Gherkin
• 4 Years of Familiarity with MuleSoft and other API development frameworks

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• 1+ Demonstrated experience incorporating AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude) into scripting workflows to accelerate test script authoring and reduce debugging cycles.
• 1+ Familiarity with building or executing automated testing paths via UiPath Studio / UiPath Test Suite configurations
