Position: Configuration Analyst
Location: Redondo Beach, CA
About the Role
We are seeking a Configuration Data Management (CDM) Analyst to support the Program & Configuration Control (PCC) organization. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective configuration control, data integrity, and compliance across hardware and software programs. You will play a critical role in managing product data throughout the lifecycle and supporting audits, change management, and documentation activities.
Responsibilities
Configuration Identification
Assign and manage hardware and software configuration identification data in accordance with program and functional requirements
Enforce part number and serial number control standards
Maintain accurate configuration baselines across programs
Change Management
Support Technical Review Board (TRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities
Prepare agendas, publish meeting minutes, and track action items to closure
Process engineering change packages through the full lifecycle, including review, disposition, documentation, and implementation
Manage data releases using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
Configuration Status Accounting
Develop, maintain, and deliver configuration management reports to support program needs
Track and report metrics such as configured item lists, change request status, and performance indicators
Verification and Audits
Support internal configuration management audits aligned with program statements of work and functional requirements
Assist with Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) and perform Physical Configuration Audits (PCA)
Manage technical documentation, including deliverables and non-deliverable program records
Documentation Management
Support document control activities for program deliverables
Ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance of configuration documentation across systems
Minimum Qualifications
One of the following experience/education combinations:
9+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
PhD and 1+ year of relevant experience
Strong working knowledge of configuration management principles and standards (e.g., MIL-HDBK-61, EIA-649, EIA-649-1)
Experience supporting configuration management in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on large, cross-functional projects
Hands-on experience with PLM tools such as Teamcenter, cPLM, or ENOVIA
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
