Infrastructure & Cyber Architect/IT/OT Solutions Architect/Enterprise Cybersecurity Architect || Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Cyber Architect with expertise across enterprise IT infrastructure, operational technology (OT), and cybersecurity. This role will be responsible for designing secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure architectures across enterprise and industrial environments while supporting digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise networking, servers, virtualization, hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS), identity management, cybersecurity architecture, and industrial control systems (ICS). Manufacturing or automotive industry experience is highly preferred.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture.
• Strong expertise in enterprise networking, servers, virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS).
• Experience designing secure enterprise infrastructure for both IT and OT environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting ICS, SCADA, PLC, DCS, and industrial plant networks.
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, network segmentation, and secure IT/OT convergence.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks including:
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • NIST 800-82
  • NIST 800-53
  • IEC 62443
• Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM), directory services, and authentication platforms.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise IT and OT infrastructure architecture.
• Develop secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions for enterprise and manufacturing environments.
• Define architecture standards, reference designs, and infrastructure best practices.
• Support hybrid cloud, virtualization, networking, compute, storage, and identity platforms.
• Partner with enterprise architecture and engineering teams to ensure consistent technology standards.

• Design and secure infrastructure supporting ICS, SCADA, PLC, DCS, and industrial control environments.
• Develop secure IT/OT convergence strategies while maintaining operational safety and system availability.
• Implement secure plant network architectures aligned with industrial best practices.
• Ensure infrastructure supports business continuity and operational resilience.

• Incorporate Security-by-Design principles into all infrastructure solutions.
• Design cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, and Zero Trust.
• Develop secure network segmentation strategies for enterprise and plant environments.
• Design identity, privileged access, monitoring, logging, vulnerability management, and incident response architectures.
• Participate in security risk assessments and architecture reviews.

• Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits, security assessments, and risk management initiatives.
• Maintain architecture documentation, standards, and technical diagrams.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for IT, OT, Cybersecurity, and business teams.
• Provide architecture guidance during project planning and technology evaluations.
• Mentor infrastructure engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve security, resiliency, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture.
• Experience supporting both enterprise IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Enterprise Networking
  • Servers & Virtualization
  • Hybrid Cloud (Azure/AWS)
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Cybersecurity Architecture
• Hands-on knowledge of industrial control systems including ICS, PLC, DCS, SCADA, and plant networks.
• Experience implementing secure network segmentation and Zero Trust principles.
• Ability to translate cybersecurity requirements into practical infrastructure designs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or regulated environments.
• Experience supporting digital transformation and IT/OT modernization initiatives.
• Azure or AWS Cloud Architecture certifications.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as:
  • CISSP
  • CISM
  • CCSP
  • OT Security Certifications
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within cross-functional and matrixed organizations.
