About the RoleIn this contingent role, you will contribute to moderately complex engineering initiatives within the Specialty Software Engineering organization. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners, evaluate engineering challenges, and deliver solutions that support secure, scalable, and compliant software systems. This role requires hands-on technical engineering experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across development and security teams.
Responsibilities- Partner with development teams to design and implement effective Splunk solutions for log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless integration into development workflows.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java applications and related technologies.
- Embed policy controls, tokenization, and security best practices into diverse technical environments through direct, hands-on collaboration with developers.
- Provide technical guidance on security requirements and ensure adherence throughout development projects.
- Build and maintain tools, scripts, and automation frameworks to streamline development operations and improve security processes.
- Contribute to the creation, enhancement, and assessment of Data Security Standards, with hands-on involvement in PCI DSS compliance evaluations, audits, and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering, or equivalent experience (work, consulting, military, education, or training).
- Hands-on engineering/development experience with Java.
- Experience writing Splunk queries for monitoring and analysis.
- Strong data domain knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with PCI DSS compliance.
- Background in tokenization and encryption practices.
- Public cloud experience (any major provider).
- FinOps experience, particularly cloud cost estimation.
