Description:
Work as member of Joint USE/Fiber Make Ready Team to do in-field GIS data collection and make educated in-field design suggestions based on field data collected. Work environment will be 90% in-field. This job will be a great first step into electric distribution and will provide a valuable foundation for a career in the power delivery industry.
Team member will use a telescoping hasting stick as well as digital measuring technologies to measure Joint Use attachment heights & utility-owned distribution lines/attachments. Field data will be collected using Leidos proprietary software to update utilities GIS and make design determinations. Team member may need to keep rental car overnight or for extended periods. Must be able to manage using the hasting stick with no issue and be in varying field conditions for multiple hours per day.
Experience using Esri's ArcGIS suite or other GIS software required. In-field experience preferred. All candidates must understand the in-field time requirements needed to complete this role. Travel typically will be limited to specific client region where candidate is located (Atlanta, GA and Surrounding Areas) but may occasionally require travel to other regions throughout Georgia and may require regular, weekly overnight travel.
