Position Overview

A top-tier client is seeking an experienced C++ Developer to join their Capital Markets technology team in Manhattan. This is a long-term, 2-year contract opportunity requiring strong hands-on development experience in a front-office or trading environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in C++ development within Capital Markets and strong database and scripting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance high-performance applications using C++.
• Work closely with front-office users, traders, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
• Develop and maintain supporting scripts and tools using Python.
• Design, optimize, and manage database components using Oracle.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and performance tuning initiatives.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in C++ development (enterprise or trading systems).
• Mandatory experience in Capital Markets (Investment Banking, Trading, Asset Management, etc.).
• Experience with Python for scripting and automation.
• Strong experience with Oracle databases (SQL, performance tuning).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, front-office environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Sophis (major plus).
• Experience working in derivatives, structured products, or risk systems.
• Prior experience in large financial institutions.
