Job Summary: The Data Analyst I gathers, audits, analyzes, and reports low- to moderate-complexity data under general supervision. Ensures data integrity. May perform ad-hoc analyses and reporting to inform decision-making, or design predictive modeling or other data mining capabilities.

Additional Department Summary: Supports UA Athletics' data management and analytics efforts by building and maintaining business intelligence solutions and delivering actionable insights across ticketing, marketing, and operational areas. Assists with reporting automation, dashboard development, and analytics. Ensures data quality. Adheres to institutional security and governance policies and procedures. Collaborates with stakeholders to enhance decision-making and improve organizational performance.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some data analysis experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to translate complex data into clear, narrative driven presentations that inform leadership decision making. Proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, or another related field. Experience using SQL for data management. Experience using Python and/or R for data analysis. Experience using Tableau and/or comparable BI tools for data visualization. Familiarity with CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and large-scale consumer datasets. Experience with Snowflake. Experience in college athletics (internship or full-time).
