Lead aviation engineering pursuits while developing, maintaining, and growing key client relationships in commercial service and general aviation.
  • Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, federal agencies, and other stakeholders, including construction administration/management as well as PGAL's Architecture and Civil Engineering Teams.
  • Actively participate in industry initiatives and events to maintain PGAL's presence and leadership in aviation design, including recruiting qualified personnel.
  • Manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of experience in aviation civil engineering design and project management
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required in TX, CA, or VA, with the expectation that licensure in all three states will ultimately be necessary. Additional state licensures are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in the application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction, including taxiways, taxilanes, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, and pavement markings, and other federal regulation processes such as preparation of FAA 7460-1 applications and 49 CFR Par 77 analyses
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on meeting individual and strategic goals for the aviation engineering group
  • Aviplan, AutoCAD, and Civil3D experience and/or working knowledge of design software preferred
