We are partnering with a well-established consulting engineering firm seeking a senior electrical engineering leader to join its leadership team.

This role is designed for someone who enjoys staying connected to technical work while also leading people, supporting clients, and contributing to the broader direction of the business. You will provide technical oversight, mentor staff, strengthen key relationships, and help guide the continued growth of the electrical practice.

What You'll Do
  • Provide leadership and technical oversight across complex electrical engineering projects
  • Manage and strengthen key client relationships
  • Lead project teams and support workload planning across multiple assignments
  • Review project scopes, budgets, schedules, and overall performance
  • Provide technical quality control and design guidance
  • Support proposals, interviews, and business development efforts
  • Develop project approaches, scopes of work, and fee estimates
  • Mentor and develop engineers and designers
  • Improve internal technical standards, processes, and project delivery
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and firm leadership
  • Contribute to resource planning, strategic initiatives, and long-term practice growth

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Significant experience in consulting engineering, construction, or a closely related environment
  • Strong background in building electrical systems
  • Experience leading projects, teams, and client relationships
  • Familiarity with multiple project delivery methods
  • Experience developing scopes, proposals, and professional service agreements
  • Strong understanding of applicable electrical, building, and energy codes
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and client communication skills
  • Ability to balance technical leadership, people development, and business priorities

Relevant Technical Experience

Experience may include:
  • Power distribution systems
  • Lighting and lighting controls
  • Emergency and standby power systems
  • Electrical load calculations
  • Short-circuit and coordination studies
  • Grounding and bonding
  • Building systems coordination
  • Construction documentation and specifications
  • Revit, CAD, Bluebeam, or similar design tools
  • Technical review and quality control

Experience with specialized facilities, critical power, renewable energy, or other advanced electrical systems is a plus.
