Resiliency Senior IT SME (Phoenix Initiative)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Resiliency Senior IT SME (Phoenix Initiative) in NYC, NY.

Overview:
A financial services organization is seeking a Senior Disaster Recovery & Resiliency SME to provide strategic and technical leadership across enterprise resiliency and recovery planning. This role will assess critical applications, strengthen recovery strategies, and ensure disaster recovery capabilities align with business and operational resilience requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) and operational resiliency planning for critical applications and services
* Assess current recovery capabilities and identify gaps against RTO/RPO requirements
* Develop remediation strategies to improve application and infrastructure resilience
* Design and enhance DR testing frameworks, including recovery scenarios, validation criteria, and business participation
* Analyze application dependencies and determine effective recovery sequencing
* Establish standards around recovery readiness, resiliency governance, and testing
* Partner with technology, infrastructure, application, and business teams on recovery planning
* Provide senior-level guidance on DR strategy, application resiliency, and operational continuity

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Resiliency, Operational Resilience, or Infrastructure Architecture
* Proven experience leading enterprise DR programs, recovery planning, and DR testing
* Strong knowledge of RTO, RPO, application recovery, and resiliency frameworks
* Experience evaluating application dependencies and recovery sequencing
* Strong governance, risk assessment, and remediation experience
* Ability to communicate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
