We have career growth opportunities for Test Development Engineers to join our Surveillance & Tactical Radar Solutions (StaRS) team in direct support of our McKinney, TX Consolidated Manufacturing Center.

The Test Solution Department is responsible for the design and development of test equipment, hardware and software for a wide range of products and customers. The StaRS Test Solution section is a growing and highly motivated team who consistently provides quality on-time on-cost solutions to support external and internal customers seeking innovative and economical solutions for their product lines.

The section also supports change incorporation and obsolescence redesign efforts of various legacy systems in direct support of production capabilities. This role has potential domestic travel up to 10% in support of development activities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time position of Senior RF Test System Technical Lead Engineer. This position is 100% ONSITE in McKinney, Texas.

Responsibilities to Anticipate
  • Oversee and coordinate the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines
  • Troubleshoot equipment, circuit boards, cables, etc.
  • Provide technical guidance, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions
  • Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.
  • Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
  • Ensure compliance with technical requirements, standards, and specifications
  • Prepare technical documentation, including test plans, procedures and drawings
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Test System
  • Support military budget Earn Value Measurement System (EVMS) activities
  • Facilitate project tasks with various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Typically requires 5 years of experience with emphasis in Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT) Test Systems Engineering
  • Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments
  • Experience with EVMS or similar management tools
  • Budget and schedule experience with ATE/UUT Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering programs

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with RF technology across Communications and Radar systems
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation for ATE/UUT Test Systems Engineering programs
  • Presentation experience to executive and/or functional leadership of analytic and program performance results for ATE/UUT Test Systems Engineering
  • Experience managing a cross functional test team (electrical, software, mechanical, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
