Job Title : Data Engineer (Oracle Apps)

Location : Hybrid - Durham, NC

The Role :

This Senior Data Engineer role combines enterprise data engineering with hands-on Oracle Application DBA responsibilities to build, optimize, and support critical data platforms. The position requires 7+ years of experience designing and maintaining data warehouse solutions, developing ETL processes, managing Oracle databases, and supporting analytics environments. The engineer will work across Oracle and Snowflake platforms, building scalable data pipelines with Informatica, Python, and SQL while ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability. Experience with Oracle Analytics Server, MongoDB, cloud data platforms, and modern data architecture is also important.

The ideal candidate has strong Oracle Application DBA experience and is comfortable administering, monitoring, tuning, patching, backing up, recovering, and optimizing Oracle databases in production environments. Deep expertise with Oracle, Informatica, Snowflake, advanced SQL, Python, and data warehousing is required, along with experience in query optimization, indexing, partitioning, disaster recovery, high availability, and performance tuning. The role also involves implementing automation, supporting CI/CD practices, maintaining data governance standards, and collaborating with application and analytics teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing data solutions.

Must Have:

Oracle DBA experience
Administer, monitor, and tune Oracle databases supporting critical applications
Manage database performance (query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and execution plans)
Perform database maintenance activities (backups, recovery, patching, upgrades)
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity
