Summary

Position: Cloud Engineer

Location: Waukegan, IL (Hybrid minimum 3 days onsite, Tues Thurs)

Duration: 6 12 months contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to support and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure, helping the team manage day-to-day operational tasks and reduce workload on higher-priority initiatives. This role focuses on AWS operations, automation, CI/CD support, Linux administration, and scripting, with an emphasis on practical execution, reliability, and security best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
Python and Bash scripting
Linux systems administration (RHEL/Ubuntu)
IAM, EC2, VPC, and cloud storage troubleshooting
CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins
Infrastructure automation and DevOps practices

Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day AWS cloud infrastructure across development and production
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
Provision, update, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure
Perform Linux system administration, patching, and upgrades
Troubleshoot cloud, IAM, networking, and platform issues
Write and maintain scripts for automation and operational support
