Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support data management and quality efforts in San Antonio, Texas. This is a 2-3 month Contract position focused on maintaining accurate records, refining spreadsheet-based information, and preparing data for reliable use across business needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, handling repetitive tasks with precision, and using Excel to identify issues and improve dataset quality.
Responsibilities:
Transform raw Excel files into organized, reliable datasets by standardizing content and improving overall usability
Examine data for inconsistencies, duplicate entries, formatting problems, and incomplete records, then resolve identified issues
Input new information and maintain existing records within the local database system while ensuring a high degree of accuracy
Perform routine checks to confirm data quality, validate entries, and help preserve the integrity of stored information
Prepare data for reporting needs and provide basic analytical support for assigned projects
Apply Excel tools such as sorting, filtering, formulas, and pivot tables to clean and structure large volumes of information
Requirements
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, and data cleanup methods
Experience entering, updating, and reviewing information within database systems or similar platforms
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across large and repetitive data tasks
Ability to follow defined procedures, documentation standards, and established data handling guidelines
Working knowledge of data integrity principles and quality control practices
Comfortable managing assignments independently and staying productive in a detail-focused environment
Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, program data, or related work is preferred
Familiarity with data analysis concepts or fraud analytics is a plus
