Senior Systems Engineer

Local candidate only:

Mandatory Experience:

1. 2 3 years' experience with: Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022. 2 3 years IIS Administration.
2. 2 3 years of network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions.
3. 2 3 years of strong professional experience in AWS cloud systems is required.
4. 2 3 years of strong professional experience in Microsoft Azure cloud systems is highly desired.
5. 2 3 years of experience with other cloud providers, such as Google Cloud Platform, is highly desired.
6. 2 3 years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft software is highly desired.
7. 3 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration.
8. 3 5 years of professional experience supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services is highly desired.
9. 5 8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field is required.

Must have skills:

1. Strong analytical skills to determine an organization's needs, develop strategies to meet those needs, and evaluate effectiveness.
2. Ability to categorize work, set priorities, and determine short and/or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them.
3. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems effectively regardless of technology platform.
4. Ability to document and automate administrative tasks to reduce manual work
5. Ability to context switch between multiple subjects & tasks.
6. Ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with others.
7. Proficiency in working in a fast- paced, complex, and dynamic business environment.
8. Proficiency in networking principles and cloud-based network architecture.
9. In-depth knowledge of AWS Services.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Services.
11. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server products.
12. In-depth knowledge of Linux (Redhat and Ubuntu).
13. Strong grasp of IT infrastructure and application development technology and architectures.
14. Strong grasp of Linux administration, including Linux patching.
15. Knowledge of assessment and analytical processes and practices.
16. Skill in strategic planning.
17. Skill in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions.
18. Skill in system administration and hosting across a wide range of solutions.
19. Ability to research, identify, and implement innovative solutions.

Telecommuting:

The candidate must reside in Tallahassee or the surrounding area and report to the office 5 days a week.

Work Hours:

Flexibility to work hours between 7:00 AM & 7:00 PM, after hours, weekends, and either on a rotation or as part of a regular and on-call work schedule.
