Job Description:This role is responsible for extracting insights, predicting outcomes, and uncovering meaningful trends from large and complex datasets. The position leverages advanced data science methodologies-including machine learning, predictive modeling, statistics, and mathematical analysis-to support data-driven decision-making across the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesCore Data Science & Modeling- Analyze business problems and determine appropriate data science approaches to meet analytic needs.
- Design, build, and validate machine learning models and analytical solutions, including hypotheses, algorithms, and experiments.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques such as predictive modeling, prescriptive modeling, clustering, and statistical analysis to uncover patterns and insights.
- Develop and optimize scalable, automated data science workflows and machine learning pipelines.
Data Engineering & Feature Development- Design efficient data ingestion, transformation, and augmentation processes to improve model accuracy and reliability.
- Build robust feature engineering frameworks and high-performance data pipelines.
Advanced Research & Continuous Improvement- Stay current on new methodologies, tools, and frameworks in data science and machine learning.
- Identify opportunities to enhance analytical efficiency, model robustness, and overall accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities- Develop and deploy supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning models for use cases such as recommendation systems, churn prediction, and demand forecasting.
- Lead experimental design efforts, including A/B and multivariate testing, and interpret results to guide product and business decisions.
- Optimize model performance and algorithm efficiency through systematic refinement and experimentation.
- Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders, influencing data-driven strategy and ROI.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.
- Collaborate with ML Engineering and DevOps partners to deploy models into production and monitor model drift.
Required Experience & QualificationsProfessional Experience- 5+ years of experience in a data science role with a record of delivering impactful machine learning models.
Technical Skills- Expert-level Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, SciPy) or R.
- Strong machine learning foundations, including gradient boosting (XGBoost, LightGBM), random forests, GLMs, clustering, etc.
- Advanced SQL for working with large, complex, distributed datasets.
- Solid grounding in mathematics and statistics, including linear algebra, calculus, and statistical inference.
- Experience following software best practices-clean, modular code; version control (Git).
