Summary
Onsite in Irvine, CA
The Business Systems Analyst will lead functional analysis and solution design for SAP S/4HANA Materials Management and Production Planning. The role will translate supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP configurations and integrations. The analyst will support implementations, enhancements, testing, and post go live operations while ensuring MM-PP integration and MRP effectiveness. The organization operates within a complex enterprise landscape and values cross functional collaboration.

Rate: $75.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and planning teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP configuration designs.
- Facilitate workshops to align business processes with SAP S/4HANA MM/PP capabilities.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Support and enhance SAP MM processes including procurement, purchasing, inventory management, stock transfers, subcontracting, and vendor collaboration.
- Support and enhance SAP PP processes including demand management, production planning, BOMs, routings, work centers, capacity planning, and production orders.
- Provide functional support for MRP including planning parameters, MRP runs, exception handling, and supply demand balancing.
- Ensure seamless MM-PP integration across plan to produce and procure to pay processes.
- Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Support data migration, process harmonization, and system integration activities.
- Lead and execute unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for MM/PP related issues.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver functional solutions and with FI/CO, QM, PM, and Logistics on integrated processes.
- Support change management including user training, documentation, and post deployment support.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 to 10+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or Functional Analyst supporting SAP MM and PP.
- Hands on experience with SAP S/4HANA in implementation or support.
- Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, procurement, and production planning processes.
- Experience creating functional specifications, test scripts, and process documentation.
- Proven ability to work in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
- SAP certification in MM and/or PP (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as discrete, process, or hybrid (preferred).
- Exposure to S/4HANA MRP Live, embedded analytics, or Fiori apps (preferred).
- Experience supporting global or multi plant SAP landscapes (preferred).
- Knowledge of related modules such as QM, CO, PM, and WM/EWM (preferred).
- Experience with supply chain planning tools integrated with SAP such as IBP or APO (preferred).
- Experience with data governance and master data management in S/4HANA (preferred).
- Involvement in SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformations (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- SAP certification in MM and/or PP (preferred).
