We are seeking a Senior ADP Payroll and Workday HCM Consultant with deep, hands-on expertise in ADP SmartCompliance integrations and end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations. This is not a generalist role — we are looking for a specialist who has owned ADP tax filing workflows, resolved multi-state payroll tax discrepancies, and led Workday Payroll configurations from Discovery through Go-Live.
The ideal candidate operates confidently at the intersection of Payroll, Finance, and Tax — advising stakeholders across HR, FP&A, and Accounting while delivering technically sound, scalable solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ADP SmartCompliance & Payroll Tax
• Lead end-to-end configuration of Workday–ADP SmartCompliance integrations
• Manage payroll tax discrepancies, multi-state filings, and tax reconciliation
• Own year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and ACA filings
• Serve as the subject matter expert when Workday and ADP need to operate seamlessly
Payroll Accounting & Period Close
• Manage payroll journal entries, accruals, and period-end accounting activities
• Drive GL reconciliation within Workday Financials during close cycles
• Ensure accuracy and audit readiness of payroll accounting records
Position Budgeting & FP&A Collaboration
• Design and implement position budgeting frameworks aligned to organizational structures
• Partner with FP&A teams on headcount planning and labor cost modeling
• Support workforce planning initiatives using Workday or Adaptive Planning
Implementation & Advisory
• Lead full-cycle Workday Payroll/HCM implementations — from Discovery and Design through Testing and Go-Live
• Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, and Finance leadership
• Define functional requirements, configure solutions, and validate payroll outputs
• Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge transfer across delivery teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM / Payroll experience
• Proven expertise in ADP SmartCompliance — tax filing, year-end, and Workday integration
• Strong working knowledge of multi-state payroll tax rules and compliance
• Experience with Position Budgeting and Period Accounting in Workday
• Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end Workday implementations
• Strong communication skills — able to translate payroll and tax concepts for non-technical stakeholders

• Workday Pro Certification in Payroll, HCM, or Financials
• Experience with Workday Financials and GL configuration
