Linux System Administrator

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-driven, and customer-focused Linux System Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD.

You will play a critical role in supporting the enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global, mission-focused workforce. This position supports the high-visibility Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, responsible for the delivery and security of MPO?s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the foundation for enterprise-wide services. As a System Engineer, you will work alongside customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to support the implementation and compliance of advanced EIT capabilities through Data Center & Compute Services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Administer, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems to ensure high performance and reliability. Responsible for OS installation, system health and security integrity, network component configuration, and executing continuous system enhancements.?
• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.?
• Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.?
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations,?monitoring?and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.?
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and will remain involved in the resolution process.?
• Optimize?system operations and resource?utilization?and perform system capacity analysis and planning.?
• Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware,?applications?and software integration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university in technical discipline is required. Five (5) years of additional System Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor?s degree
• 20+ years? experience as a System Administration in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Demonstrated experience leading Systems Administration/Engineering efforts is required
• Must be proficient troubleshooting in a Linux environment
• Experience with VMware
• ?IAT I certification (DoD 8140?required?within 60 days of starting employment.??Acceptable certifications include A+ CE/CCNA-Security/CND/Network+ CE /CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP)???

Preferred Qualifications:

• Based on program and technical requirements, evaluates and recommends appropriate hardware, software and services solutions.
• ??Experience/familiarization with full lifecycle management of Linux systems, to include provisioning, configuration?management?and patching.?
• ?Red Hat Certified System Administration Certification.?
• ?Experience with?NetAPP??

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
