Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Software Developer (Java) to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of multiple Department of Health software applications.
• The developer will work on application changes required by MENA legislation, including analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of enterprise software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business specifications and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and modify technical specifications, design documentation, and system documentation.
• Perform analysis of existing application code for enhancement and optimization opportunities.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications across:
• User Interface (UI) layer
• Business Logic layer
• Data Access layer
• Develop and modify Java-based applications using object-oriented programming principles.
• Perform software development activities including:
• Coding
• Unit testing
• Integration testing
• Implementation and deployment support
• Develop and maintain web-based applications and enterprise solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support for existing systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and technical teams to deliver application enhancements.

Required Skills:

• 84+ Months of experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) for designing and implementing IT solutions.
• 84+ Months of experience with Java programming language in enterprise application development.
• 84+ Months of experience with Oracle PL/SQL, including:
• Developing stored procedures
• Creating and maintaining packages
• 48+ Months of experience with Struts 2 MVC Framework.
• 36+ Months of experience with JavaScript frameworks.
• 12+ Months of experience developing Java Web Services, including:
• REST APIs
• SOAP Web Services
• 12+ Months of experience building and maintaining responsive web applications.
• 12+ Months of experience using Git for source code control and version management.
• 24+ Months of experience developing and maintaining Microsoft Access applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with government or healthcare-related software applications.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level application enhancements and modernization efforts.
• Experience with technical documentation and software design specifications.
• Experience working in Agile or structured software development environments.
